Otroshakers - A Los Shakers - LP

Sello: Sometimes Music

By 1981, Hugo Fattoruso, a Uruguayan musician, had already built a remarkable career, beginning with the Trío Fattoruso and later forming the Beatles-inspired band Los Shakers, whose 1968 album became a psychedelic classic. In the 1970s he moved to the United States with his brother Osvaldo and collaborated with Brazilian artists Airto Moreira and Flora Purim.Together they created the trio Opa, blending candombe with jazz-rock and releasing two influential albums in 1976 and 1977.After difficulties in the U.S., they returned to the Río de la Plata region, performed with Milton Nascimento, and recorded the album A Los Shakers (1981) under the name Otroshakers. The album, highly praised but long unavailable on vinyl, was later reissued with remastering, photos, lyrics, and notes celebrating its lasting musical impact.
