Official 2024 white cassette reissue of The Modern Lovers’ iconic debut album, originally released in 1976 but recorded earlier in the decade. This edition comes from Italy’s Radiation Records, presented in full stereo with a crisp white shell and updated mastering from G. Horn.
Produced in part by John Cale (of The Velvet Underground), the album blends proto-punk rawness with heartfelt, awkward honesty — featuring enduring tracks like “Roadrunner,” “Pablo Picasso,” and “She Cracked.” Backed by Ernie Brooks, David Robinson, and Jerry Harrison (later of Talking Heads), Jonathan Richman’s singular songwriting shines throughout.
This is a licensed, high-quality reissue with full credits, minimalist packaging, and a clean analog sound — ideal for collectors, cassette enthusiasts, and fans of foundational indie rock.
