Sello: Fire Records

Royal Trux's self-titled debut album set the tone, not only for their own trajectory, but also for the landscape of noise and indie rock that followed its 1988 release. With unconventional time signatures and primal guitar parts of intentionally basic chord patterns, the album was a raw interpretation of classic rock - massacring the medium into a cathartic new form, featuring fittingly nihilistic lyrics.
