Radiocrimen celebrates its 10th anniversary by reissuing its first and much-acclaimed release, "MATAME", on vinyl. The record has been sold out for a long time. A great opportunity to remaster it and put it back into circulation. "OLD HANDS IN A NEW PUNK-ROCK BAND" TXARLY "USHER" vocals (Los Carniceros del Norte, La Casa Usher, DaisyCutters...) LUIS "PUNK" guitar (Punk Guerrilla, Disturbio 77, Sikotiko...) JAVI "PUÑALES" guitar (Rat-Zinger, ZerBizio, Slam...) IÑAKI "GATO" bass (Deskonzierto, Eskorbuto, Sucio Sistema...) DANI "EL MUDO" drums (El Paso Killers, M8-Psycho, Ultimo Enemigo...) This is how RADIOCRIMEN introduced themselves a few months ago. Those credentials were more than enough to pique our curiosity, remember their name, and keep an eye on them. They formed in November 2012, and six months later they already had the songs ready to record. They did so at GBBG Studios in Astigarraga. The album, recorded and mixed by Mikel "Biff", features 10 original songs and a cover of "Never Made It" by The Peter and The Test Tube Babies, performed jointly by Txarly and Placi (Segismundo Toxicómano). This guest also appears on two other tracks on the album. Radiocrimen are no ordinary band, as they show throughout these nearly 40 minutes. Their style is clearly punk rock, but they stand apart from other bands with their 1980s sound, making their influences from late-'70s and early-'80s punk unmistakable, while also leaving room for touches inspired by bands from later decades. Their carefully crafted guitars, the blend of rage and melody, and Txarly's distinctive lyrical touch make "Mátame" a different record with an identity of its own. In June, at the request of the most curious fans, the band posted two previews on their Facebook page. Specialist websites picked up on them, and within a few days they had nearly 4,000 plays. At the end of July, the album went on sale through Guns Of Brixton Records. Beneath its striking cover by Ibai Eizaguirre and the excellent design by photographer Lucia de Andres are the eleven tracks she describes on the Maneras de vivir website as follows: "Radiocrimen sounds like murderous, old-school, nocturnal street punk rock, wrapped in Txarly's necromantic voice."
