Originally intended as the band's debut album and later shelved after Mike Browning left the band, Abominations of Desolation is the stuff of legend among Death Metal enthusiasts. Recorded in 1986, it is a stepping stone in the genre's history and contains early and raw versions of many soon-to-be classics in the band's repertoire, with Browning's brutal delivery giving the songs a very different personality from that of later versions. Absolutely essential for anyone interested in extreme metal.
