*Two Monkeys*, the second of the two albums that marked Cock Sparrer's resurgence amid the frenzy of the 1990s *punk rock* boom, showed these genre pioneers tuning in with the new generation without abandoning the classic sound that had made them an institution. Longtime fans saw their loyalty rewarded when the band added the final chapter to its "Working" trilogy —begun on the classic *Shock Troops* and continued on *Guilty as Charged*—, definitively closing it on *Two Monkeys* with the track "Live in Marbella (Working Pt 3)". However, perhaps the two most outstanding moments of the album reveal a completely different side of Cock Sparrer and constitute its emotional core: "Battersea Bardot", a nostalgic tribute to the late London actress Carol White; and, finally, "East End Girl", a love song in which the band —now made up of mature men with priorities focused on home and family— pays tribute to those strong-willed women who won their hearts.
