Initially, BUSH formed as a small project between members of the Brazilian bands I Shot Cyrus and Discarga. Seeing that things were picking up, they decided to take things more seriously and consider it a serious band. Some change in form, fewer obvious influences, and more originality in the compositions. This debut album by BUSH contains 14 tracks that show how hardcore punk can be played with new ideas and formulas, escaping the obvious and riffs played over and over again. What comes to mind as soon as you hear the first tracks is the naturalness with which they have managed to mix the wildest side of music *read: punk in all its formats(, from the garage/psych of the '60s, through the post-punk of the late '70s, all the way to the '80s and all that movement in the USA *from coast to coast(. Imagine Minor Threat, The Count Five, and Wire playing at the same time. With @New American Century@, BUSH propose a new way of doing things within punk, without repeating fast riffs one after another or fast drum fills. Here you will find something new made with very good ideas.
