SOCIAL DISTORTION, from Orange County, returns with their first album in 15 years, Born To Kill. With 11 urgent songs, Mike Ness continues to build the mystique that SOCIAL DISTORTION is more than just a punk band. Throughout the collection, Ness revisits the sounds of the 1970s, his formative teenage years. For many, Born To Kill is a return to their roots, but in reality, it is a continuation of the level of excellence for which SOCIAL DISTORTION and, in turn, Ness have long been praised.
Born To Kill is a work that will endure in the SOCIAL DISTORTION catalog. Songs such as the noisy title track, which serves as the album's statement of intent, along with the riff-heavy "Partners in Crime," the nostalgic "The Way Things Were," and the upbeat "Tonight" are songs that fit into any of SOCIAL DISTORTION's diverse eras. Now, after nearly five decades in the business and with a notable catalog spanning almost three generations, SOCIAL DISTORTION has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
