Sello: Sacred Bones
Experimental musician Margaret Chardiet makes a welcome return with her first Pharmakon full-length in five years. Though the dense power electronics, turbulent noise, and ominous drone of previous releases remain, industrial and punk elements are much more defined on her fifth LP Maggot Mass. As it's title nods to, the conceptual themes on show explore death and rebirth, regeneration through decay, and loss and creation.
