For the uninitiated, Akerbeltz’s roots in the Spanish Black Metal scene go back to the early ’90s, when he was involved with BEHEADED LAMB in Barcelona. In 1996, he formed his solo project, AKERBELTZ, and a year later released the debut demo, "Spreading the Eternal Mayhem". Over the years, AKERBELTZ has recorded seven full-length albums and multiple split releases, always devoted to the Black Arts. With "Merciless", AKERBELTZ delivers a better-produced album than ever (thanks to Akerbeltz’s bandmate in KÖRGULL THE EXTERMINATOR, Javier Félez, and his Moontower Studios), while retaining the rawness and darkness that have always defined his sound. There is no room for trailblazing or meekness here, just a harsh path into the depths of traditional, unholy Black Metal.
