Black Lips - Bebop Armageddon (Detours & Offcuts From Season - LP

Sello: Fire Records

Released alongside Season of the Peach, Black Lips' Bebop Armageddon (Detours & Offcuts From Season Of The Peach) is a vinyl-only companion piece packed with chaos, charm and invention. Tracked to analogue tape at Oakley Munson's Sound At Manor studio in the Catskills, it captures a rawer, wilder side of the band's recent sessions. This collection gathers alternate mixes (`Kassandra'), demos (`Judas Pig', `Zulu Saints'), and reimagined takes like the woozy `The Illusion Pt. 1 (dream mix)'. There's also brand-new material, including `Colt 44' - a full-throttle collaboration with King Khan - plus scorched psych and backwoods gospel in `Satan' and `Back To Kiev'.If Season of the Peach is a vivid garage-rock hallucination, then Bebop Armageddon is its deranged shadow - a set of mutant sketches, studio offcuts and beautiful wreckage, only available to the heads who keep spinning wax.
