Although “Terrorist Gang” seems like another nod to A Clockwork Orange, the blunt lyrics “The terrorist gang blows up everything in sight / The terrorist gang kills all day and all night / The terrorist gang thinks they’re just like you and me / The terrorist gang isn’t what we want to be” suggest otherwise.

Reflecting the popular punk scene of the time, The Clockwork Demos also includes covers of classic tracks by bands such as the Ramones (“Blitzkrieg Bop” and “Suzy Is a Headbanger”), The Clash (“Garageland” and “White Riot”), Stiff Little Fingers (“Wasted Life” and “Alternative Ulster”) and Sham 69 (“Borstal Breakout”). None of the covers stray far from the original styles, but they are played at a much faster pace, in Major Accident’s ’77/Oi!/power-pop style, which seems to have influenced modern bands such as Briefs and Exploding Hearts.

Although certainly not as revolutionary as any of the bands they cover on their pre-recording session, Major Accident’s The Clockwork Demos offers old-school force to satisfy anyone looking for fun, fast-paced punk rock from days gone by (plus, it comes on limited-edition coloured vinyl)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/0475/0407/files/VINILO-MAJOR-ACCIDENT-THE-CLOCKWORK-DEMOS-RADIATION-COMPRAR-VINILO.jpg?v=1792955310
major-accident-the-ultimate-high-lp
Major Accident - The Ultimate High - LP

Label: Mad Butcher

Originally released in 1996, this reunion album by the legendary UK Oi!/street punk band inspired by 'Clockwork Orange' is being reissued on vinyl.
