Girls who rock! They got some airplay on MTV with the song “Bruise Violet,” which appeared on Beavis and Butthead at one point. What we have here is a thick slab of beefed-up riffs dripping with grungy goodness, saucy guitar tones, and some awesome singing from lead singer Kat Bjelland, who has a snarling, aggressive voice that conveys a vision of a very “dominant female.” She’s quite attractive.

Songs:

Bruise violet

Right now

Bluebell

Handsome and Gretel

Blood

Magik flute

Won’t tell

Quiet room

Spun

Short song

Jungle train

Pearl

Real eyes

Mother

Gone
