Needless to say, a good dose of myth has seeped into the legend: for every person who believes that Darby Crash was the ultimate *rock & roll* martyr, there are just as many who consider him an affected clown who believed his own publicity. In fact, as this extraordinary document proves, he was both. Two DVDs purport to tell the story of the Germs; the first disc serves as a live anthology, combining a frenetic 1979 performance at the Whisky with 18 other tracks—audio only—recorded throughout the band's career in settings as varied as a rehearsal room, the Hong Kong Café, and, once again, the Whisky. And honestly, is there a more exhilarating introduction to the world of the Germs than the three-song rehearsal that opens the program: the 1977 versions of "Forming", "Round 'n' Round", and "Sex Boy"? The picture and sound quality are not always perfect, but who would want them to be? The Germs were many teenagers' dirty little secret; it is only fitting that their music is presented with that same rawness and filth. The fun continues on the second disc with the semi-legendary documentary *Germ Warfare*, created by the band's last drummer, Don Bolles. Truth be told, it probably isn't the final word on the subject, as many other key figures are missing. But we insist that cold, hard facts are not always the best way to approach the Germs. Rumors, assumptions, and exaggerations turn out to be much more entertaining, and this package more than delivers on all those counts.

Tracklist:

DVD1-1 What We Do Is Secret

DVD1-2 Art

DVD1-3 Communist Eyes

DVD1-4 Caught In My Eye

DVD1-5 Media Blitz

DVD1-6 Lexicon Devil

DVD1-7 Manimal

DVD1-8 Going Down

DVD1-9 The Other Newest One

DVD1-10 Our Way

Germ Warfare - The Germs Story By Don Bolles - Audio Tracks

DVD2-1 Forming (1977)

DVD2-2 Round 'n' Round (1977)

DVD2-3 Sex Boy (1977)

DVD2-4 Strange Notes (1978)

DVD2-5 Caught In My Eye (1978)

DVD2-6 Let's Pretend (1979)

DVD2-7 Lexicon Devil (1979)

DVD2-8 Manimal (1979)

DVD2-9 Our Way (1979)

DVD2-10 Shut Down (1979)

DVD2-11 What We Do Is Secret (1979)

DVD2-12 Art (1979)

DVD2-13 Communist Eyes (1979)

DVD2-14 Lion's Share (1979)

DVD2-15 Media Blitz (1978)

DVD2-16 What We Do Is Secret (1978)

DVD2-17 Lion's Share (1979)

DVD2-18 Throw It Away (1979)

Germ Warfare - The Germs Story By Don Bolles - Photo Slide Show

DVD2 Photo Slide Show

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/0475/0407/files/dvd-the-germs-story-cherry-red-records-comprar-dvd.jpg?v=1792954790
germs-small-circle-of-friends-lp
Germs - Small Circle Of Friends - LP

2023 reissue. "This is the best tribute album to the greatest band in history, The Germs! 45 minutes of The Germs' genius on the Bill Bartell/Pat Fear label, Gasatanka...
